I’ve known Sandro since we kids when I used to play football against him and his best man Steve some 20 odd years ago. In the past three years I’ve shot Weddings for 4 other couples all of who are good friends of Sandro and Hannah so it was a real pleasure to finally shoot theirs – Sandro actually asked me to do it before he’d even proposed!
Hannah’s family are related to Rowena Cade, a somewhat eccentric lady, who planned, built and financed the world famous ‘Minack Theatre‘ in Porthcurno, Cornwall. Her parents still have part ownership of the house next door which was where they hosted the reception against the stunning backdrop of Porthcurno Bay and Treen Cliffs. After what turned out to be a brief spell of rain in the morning soaking the guests arriving at the Church they were blessed with a truly glorious day and we were even granted a special dispensation to shoot a few pictures at the Theatre between performances.
Between our consultation and the Wedding Hannah and Sandro had became parents to Florence and with lots of their friends also recently becoming parents there were lots of kids making the marquee at times feel like a giant playground. The ball pool overflowed constantly and I was definitely kept on my toes by the younger (and older!) members of the party. Hannah wasn’t totally convinced that someone so sweaty could have had so much fun but as I assured her I’d had a blast!
As ever below are some of my favourites
